Dutch Golden Guides


Some of the Dutch Golden Guides have no Golden Press version. I have listed a few to show the similarities. What baffles me is many of these books mention Western Publishing, the publisher of Golden Guides. But Golden Press never issued a version. One thing worth mentioning- all the titles have 160 pages. Sound familiar? With that said, here are a few titles:

Kustfauna translates to Coast Fauna or Seashores Of Europe. Written by Gustave Cherbonnier. Illustrations by Denise Weber (invertebrata) and Philippe DeGrave (vogels). Bewerkt voor het Nederlandse taalgebied door Dr. B. Hubert. Zuid-Nederlandse Uitgeverij, N.V. Antwerpen. Centrale Uitgeverij, Harderwijk. © by Editions des Deux Coqs d'Or, Paris, 1967. D-1968-0001-42. This book also exists in a French edition: Rivages D'Europe The funny thing about the Dutch copy is the faint impression of the words "Le Petit Guide" at the bottom of the book.
